Von einer, die auszog, sich „dann mal den Rest anzugucken“ oder: London (Part II).

Wenn man an einem lauen Septemberabend am Themseufer flaniert, kann man allerhand erleben: „Schuld und Sühne“ als Rockmusical zum Beispiel. Das ist jetzt nicht ganz mein Genre, aber spielen und singen konnten sie. Und super Bühnenbild.

Was bei der photographischen Nachlese leider fehlt: Bilder von der großartigen Führung mit London Walks durch Westminster Abbey. Da drin darf man nämlich nicht knipsen. Auch nicht ohne Blitz.

Zu Beginn der Führung standen wir übrigens noch im Kreuzgang, als mir das Wort „Pianoforte“ direkt unter meinen Füßen ins Auge stach. Die komplette Inschrift der Grabplatte lautet:

In Concert: Nils Frahm & Company im Barbican Centre

„Yes, there will be some surprises. But I can’t talk about it because she won’t be there!“

Als feststand, daß ich am fraglichen Wochenende in London sein würde, war „Possibly Colliding, Session One: Nils Frahm & Company“ bereits ausverkauft und als ich dann auf der Launch Party für „Sheets Zwei“ vorsichtig anfragte, war die Gästeliste lange geschlossen. „Vielleicht über Facebook…?“ Je nun, Versuch macht klug, und tatsächlich: Die Ticketfee hieß Jack und ich weiß jetzt, was man unter „Face value“ versteht.

Ich werde nämlichem Jack noch lange dankbar sein, denn was da gestern abend in der Hall des Barbican Centre passierte, kann man noch am ehesten mit dem Ausdruck „not to be missed“ umschreiben. Über drei Stunden und mit Unterstützung von Anne Müller, Nonkeen (mit Andrea Belfi), dem von Kieran Brunt zusammengestellten und geleiteten Vokalensemble Shards und stargaze gab Nils Frahm alles – „a most ambitious concert“ indeed.

Es wird, so war es zuvor angekündigt, das letzte Konzert auf unbestimmte Zeit gewesen sein. Das kommt mir zugegebenermaßen nicht ganz ungelegen, denn nach Paris und London muß auch ich jetzt erstmal tief Luft holen.

Dennoch, die Frage „Wie ist das noch zu toppen?“ stellt sich nicht. Nils Frahm gehört zu jenen, bei denen man sicher sein kann: Es wird ihm etwas einfallen.
